Information / Annual Meeting
The Western District holds its annual meeting in October. At that meeting, the new officers are announced and a program is presented on topics of interest to our members. In recent years, we have heard presentations by Dennis W. Archer, then President of the American Bar Association, the Honorable Richard F. Suhrheinrich, Senior Judge, United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit, and the Honorable Richard A. Griffin, Circuit Judge with the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit, and other esteemed colleagues.
The 2007 Annual Meeting was held on Thursday, October 18, 2007 at the Frederik Meijer Gardens in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The meeting included a panel discussion with the three recently installed Article III Judges for the Western District of Michigan, the Honorable Janet T. Neff, the Honorable Paul L. Maloney and the Honorable Robert J. Jonker, whose investitures in the Fall of 2007 marked a historical moment in the history of the United States District Court for the Western District of Michigan. The 2007 Annual Meeting was a great success and generated a record number of attendees.
